Salthouse Catering Masters the Art of Fried Chicken
This month Salthouse Catering joined dozens of local culinary experts at the Southern Fried Chicken Challenge victoriously snagging not one, but two awards for 2017’s Chicken Champion and 2017’s People’s Choice Award.
This inaugural event held at Patriot’s Point hosted nearly 2,000 hungry attendants that delighted in delicious samples from the area’s top chefs and restaurants. Families and friends strode the grounds shopping local artisan food vendors in the Vendor Village then settled on blankets and beach chairs to enjoy their unique chicken dishes.
The Southern Fried Chicken Challenge was started in order to expose some of the culinary genius that plays into a quality fried chicken dish that Charlestonians don’t always see on local menus often monopolized by seafood. Chef Todd Mazurek and the rest of the Salthouse team were excited to share their talents with local diners and are excited for many years to come at the Southern Fried Chicken Challenge.
