Tanya Gurrieri is a twenty year veteran of the catering and event planning business. As the Sales and Operations Director for Salthouse, Tanya not only brings to bear her significant experience and industry relationships but also her deep local knowledge of the South Carolina Lowcountry, its food, its style, its scene.
A native Charlestonian and a graduate of the College of Charleston, Tanya left to live and work in Atlanta for seven years. There she spent three years with Zoo Atlanta, planning and coordinating the Zoo’s many events, taking part in the million-dollar fundraiser The Beastly Feast. From there, Tanya’s passion for food led her to spend four years with Bold American Catering Company before returning home to Charleston .
We are insanely passionate about Salthouse. It’s imperative that echoes in everything we do. We want everyone to talk positively about their experiences with our brand.
After returning to the Lowcountry, Tanya spent seven years with Holy City Hospitality Group, launching and growing the company’s catering company, Good Food Catering, and managing the company’s Historic Rice Mill venue on the Ashley River. Tanya was then enticed to create and develop a full service catering arm for Caviar & Bananas and spent two years doing so prior to launching Salthouse Catering.
Tanya is married to a former chef (surprise!) who now works as a building products manager. Together they have two wonderful children and enjoy spending family time on the water, watching baseball and entertaining their family and many friends, who never turn down a party or meal at the Gurrieri house.
